According to this mythological story, once Shani Dev went to Lord Vishnu. First of all Shani Dev greeted her and after this, looking at Maa Lakshmi, she asked Vishnu that how do we both feel to you? Lord Vishnu became silent on this question for some time because it was not easy for him to answer it. On one side was his wife and on the other side was Saturn Dev, an unpleasant planet. Lord Vishnu knew that if he would tell the truth, Shanidev would get angry. Seeing Lord Vishnu silent, Shani Dev repeated this question again. Meanwhile, Lord Vishnu got an idea. He said that Shani Dev should accompany Lakshmi ji to that front tree and touch it and bring a leaf of the tree to me as a proof. Both of them were curious to know what Lord Vishnu thinks about them. When both were going towards the tree, then Lord Vishnu kept seeing both of them. After some time both of them touched the tree and came back with one leaf as proof. Now it was my turn to answer. Lord Vishnu said 'O Saturn! You looked good to me as I went and 'Hey Lakshmi! You looked good coming '. Both were pleased to hear this answer given by Lord Vishnu. Now tell you what it meant? This answer of Lord Vishnu meant that Saturn descends, that is, it is auspicious and Lakshmi is good to come.
